Don't bother wasting your time, we have a commercial property to be professionally cleaned in Pontypridd and I have been calling them since 6th Oct and every time I manage to speak to Lee Clark I have been given different stories, first I was told that he was going to be away and booked the job for 25th Oct this came and went but no sign of him so I called again on 16th Nov, first he had forgotten completely about it however he assured me that he was going to a conference the next day and will call me back on Monday 20th Nov. I am still waiting for that call. I have no intention of wasting anymore time as this people have no intention of doing any work.

We contacted CCWC services because we had just got a new 25,000sqft Warehouse that needed cleaning. The new Warehouse consisted of 3 large warehouses knocked into 1 large Warehouse. Each Warehouse had white panels all the way around that had collected so much dust, grease & dirt. I contacted CCWC and I heard back from them the same day and we arranged a meeting. I was met at the Warehouse by a lovely gentleman who was super helpful and explained in details what they would do to achieve best results. When the quote was agreed a booking was made to have a team on sight to have the work done. The two gentlemen who came on sight to do the work were again so helpful, so kind and very good working guys. They managed to finish the job in a couple of days and the outcome was stunning. I was very shocked to see the huge difference the clean had made. The panels come up like new and all the walls/panels were dust, grease and dirt free. So I was a happy lady. The whole round service from the company was 10/10 from start to finish. I would highly recommend this company for any industrial cleaning like I had. I have certainly kept this team in my "save" file as I wouldn’t hesitate in using them again. Thank you for all your hard work. Karen

FAQ's

What should I do if my business's roof is leaking?

If you notice a leak in your business’s roof, the first thing you should do is try to contain the water as much as possible. Use buckets or other containers to catch the water, and place towels or tarps on the floor to prevent slips and falls. Then, contact us at CCWC Services either by the quick enquiry form or call us on 08000 354 142 and we can help you from there and get your roof fixed and any internal damage cleaned as required.

How long does emergency roof repair take?

The length of time it takes to complete emergency roof repairs depends on the severity of the damage and the availability of materials and labour. In some cases, repairs can be completed in just a few hours, while in other cases, it may take several days.  We will always give you a clear indication once we have been able to inspect the roof condition, the main aim is to get it fixed safely and quickly.

Can emergency roof repairs be done in bad weather?

In some cases, emergency roof repairs can be done in bad weather, such as rain or snow. However, it may be more difficult and dangerous for workers to perform repairs in these conditions, so the timeline for the repairs may be longer than it would be in good weather. Additionally, repairs may need to be delayed if conditions are too dangerous for workers.  We would always asses each situation to ensure the team are safe and it’s viable for them to repair a roof in bad conditions.

How much does emergency roof repair cost?

We are often asked this question over the phone and the cost of emergency roof repair depends on the extent of the damage and the type of repairs needed. In general, emergency repairs are more expensive than non-emergency repairs because they require immediate attention and may require overtime or expedited materials.  Once we have seen the roof and the damage we can quickly provide an estimate of time and materials so you have clarity to make that decision. In general, we offer our Emergency Roof Repairs service at a competitive rate of £1 per meter. This pricing covers the entire process, from the initial assessment and repair to compliance checks. We provide transparent pricing to ensure you know what to expect.

How can I prevent future roof damage?

We often get asked this question after the repair and regular maintenance and inspections are the key to preventing future roof damage. We can schedule regular roof inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.  Often gutters are the key culprit in getting clogged up with debris from leaves and moss which then causes a lot of easily preventable problems.

How soon can I expect assistance from CCWC for an emergency roof repair?

Our experienced team is available around the clock, and we aim to provide prompt assistance. In most cases, we can be on-site within a few hours to address the issue.

Do you offer a site survey before conducting roof repairs?

Yes, as part of our service, we conduct a free site survey to assess various factors, including run-off, environmental impact, pedestrian and traffic management, and water access, among others, to ensure a comprehensive and compliant solution.

Do you handle the collection of hazardous materials during emergency repairs?

Yes, our team is trained to handle and properly dispose of hazardous materials or items that may be discovered during the roof repair process. We prioritize safety and compliance with all regulations, ensuring a secure environment for your business.

Is roof repair an emergency?

Roof repair can be considered an emergency in certain situations, particularly when the safety and structural integrity of the building are compromised. Here are some scenarios where roof repair becomes an emergency:

  1. Leaking Roof: If your roof is actively leaking during heavy rainfall or storms, it requires immediate attention. Water intrusion can lead to significant interior damage, including structural issues, mold growth, and electrical hazards.
  2. Storm Damage: Severe weather events, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, or hailstorms, can cause extensive damage to a roof. Immediate repair is essential to prevent further damage and protect the building and its occupants.
  3. Structural Damage: Any visible signs of structural damage to the roof, such as sagging or significant displacement of roofing materials, should be addressed urgently to prevent collapse.
  4. Fire Damage: If a fire has damaged the roof, it must be repaired promptly to secure the building and prevent additional fire hazards.
  5. Safety Hazards: Roof damage that poses safety hazards, such as loose or dangling roofing materials, should be addressed immediately to protect people on the property.
  6. Business Operations: For commercial properties, a damaged roof can disrupt business operations and result in financial losses. In such cases, expedited repair is necessary to minimize downtime.

While roof repair is not always an emergency, timely attention to issues like leaks, storm damage, or safety concerns can prevent more extensive damage and costly repairs in the future. It’s advisable to consult with a professional roofing contractor to assess the situation and determine the urgency of repairs.

What to do while waiting for roof repair?

While waiting for roof repair, it’s essential to take immediate action to minimize damage, ensure safety, and prepare for the repair process. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Safety First: Ensure the safety of occupants and visitors. If there are safety hazards, such as loose debris or exposed electrical wiring, restrict access to the affected area and clearly mark it as hazardous.
  2. Contain Water Intrusion: If the roof is leaking, place containers, buckets, or tarps under the leak to collect water and prevent it from causing further damage to the interior of the building. If there is extensive water damage, consider contacting a water damage restoration specialist.
  3. Document Damage: Take photographs or videos of the damaged areas, both inside and outside the building. This documentation can be useful for insurance claims and working with roofing contractors.
  4. Contact Your Insurance Provider: If the damage is covered by your insurance policy, notify your insurance provider as soon as possible. Provide them with the necessary information and documentation.
  5. Temporary Repairs: If it is safe to do so, you can attempt temporary repairs to mitigate further damage. This may include using roofing cement, tarpaulins, or sealants to seal the damaged area. However, exercise caution, and consult with a professional if unsure.
  6. Schedule Roof Repair: Contact a reputable roofing contractor to assess the damage and provide an estimate for repairs. Ensure that the contractor is licensed, insured, and experienced in the type of roof repair required.
  7. Protect Interior: If there is interior damage, such as wet ceilings or walls, take steps to protect furnishings and belongings. Move valuable items away from the affected area and cover them with plastic or tarps.
  8. Stay Informed: Stay in regular communication with your roofing contractor to schedule the repair promptly. Understand the scope of work, estimated timeline, and any potential disruptions to your daily activities.
  9. Prevent Mold: If water damage has occurred, be vigilant about preventing mold growth. Use fans and dehumidifiers to dry out affected areas, and consider applying antimicrobial treatments.
  10. Plan for Downtime: If the repair process will disrupt your business operations or daily routine, make contingency plans. Consider temporary relocation, if necessary, to minimize disruptions.
  11. Review Insurance Coverage: Review your insurance policy to understand the coverage for roof repairs and any deductibles. Ensure that you comply with any requirements outlined by your insurer.
  12. Keep Records: Maintain a record of all communication, estimates, invoices, and receipts related to the repair process. This documentation can be valuable for insurance claims and future reference.

Remember that safety is the top priority, and it’s essential to address any immediate safety hazards while waiting for roof repair. Prompt action can help minimize damage and expedite the repair process.

What questions should I ask a roofer UK?

When hiring a roofer in the UK, it’s crucial to ask the right questions to ensure you’re making an informed decision and getting the best service. Here are some essential questions to ask a roofer:

  1. Are You Licensed and Insured?: Ensure the roofer holds the necessary licenses and insurance, including liability insurance and workers’ compensation. This protects you from liability in case of accidents or damage during the project.
  2. Do You Have References or Portfolio?: Ask for references from past clients or a portfolio of completed projects. Contact previous customers to inquire about their experience and satisfaction with the roofer’s work.
  3. What is the Full Scope of Work?: Request a detailed breakdown of the roofing project, including materials to be used, the timeline, and any potential challenges. This helps you understand the project’s scope and cost.
  4. Do You Provide a Written Estimate?: Obtain a written estimate that includes all costs, materials, labor, and any potential additional charges. Make sure the estimate is clear and detailed.
  5. What Roofing Materials Do You Recommend?: Discuss roofing material options that are suitable for your specific needs and budget. A reputable roofer can provide guidance on materials like asphalt, slate, tile, or metal.
  6. What Guarantees or Warranties Do You Offer?: Inquire about any warranties or guarantees provided for both materials and workmanship. Understand the terms and conditions of these warranties.
  7. How Will You Ensure Safety During the Project?: Discuss safety measures, including the use of harnesses, protective gear, and safety protocols for workers. Safety should be a top priority.
  8. What Permits and Regulations Apply?: Ask if any permits are required for the roofing project and if the roofer will obtain them. Ensure that the project complies with local building regulations.
  9. Who Will Supervise the Project?: Clarify who will be in charge of overseeing the roofing project and how you can reach them for updates or concerns.
  10. What is the Payment Schedule?: Discuss the payment schedule, including the initial deposit, progress payments, and the final payment. Be cautious of any upfront payments that seem excessive.
  11. Can You Provide a Timeline?: Request a timeline for the project, including start and completion dates. Understand any factors that could affect the timeline.
  12. What Is Your Cleanup Process?: Ask about the cleanup process once the project is completed. A reputable roofer should leave your property in a clean and tidy condition.
  13. How Will You Handle Unforeseen Issues or Changes?: Inquire about the process for handling unexpected problems or changes in the project. Understand how these situations will be communicated and resolved.
  14. Do You Have Insurance for Workers?: Ensure that the roofer has workers’ compensation insurance to cover any injuries to their employees while working on your property.
  15. What Is Your Experience with Similar Projects?: Ask about the roofer’s experience with projects similar to yours, especially if you have a unique roofing system or specific requirements.
  16. Can You Provide a Written Contract?: Request a written contract that outlines all project details, including costs, materials, timelines, and warranties. Read and understand the contract before signing.

By asking these questions and thoroughly vetting potential roofers, you can make an informed decision and hire a professional who will provide quality roofing services in the UK.
