Don't bother wasting your time, we have a commercial property to be professionally cleaned in Pontypridd and I have been calling them since 6th Oct and every time I manage to speak to Lee Clark I have been given different stories, first I was told that he was going to be away and booked the job for 25th Oct this came and went but no sign of him so I called again on 16th Nov, first he had forgotten completely about it however he assured me that he was going to a conference the next day and will call me back on Monday 20th Nov. I am still waiting for that call. I have no intention of wasting anymore time as this people have no intention of doing any work.

We contacted CCWC services because we had just got a new 25,000sqft Warehouse that needed cleaning. The new Warehouse consisted of 3 large warehouses knocked into 1 large Warehouse. Each Warehouse had white panels all the way around that had collected so much dust, grease & dirt. I contacted CCWC and I heard back from them the same day and we arranged a meeting. I was met at the Warehouse by a lovely gentleman who was super helpful and explained in details what they would do to achieve best results. When the quote was agreed a booking was made to have a team on sight to have the work done. The two gentlemen who came on sight to do the work were again so helpful, so kind and very good working guys. They managed to finish the job in a couple of days and the outcome was stunning. I was very shocked to see the huge difference the clean had made. The panels come up like new and all the walls/panels were dust, grease and dirt free. So I was a happy lady. The whole round service from the company was 10/10 from start to finish. I would highly recommend this company for any industrial cleaning like I had. I have certainly kept this team in my "save" file as I wouldn’t hesitate in using them again. Thank you for all your hard work. Karen

What is the importance of DOFF steam cleaning in the restoration of Grade I and II listed buildings?

DOFF steam cleaning is a cornerstone technique in the conservation of Grade I and II listed buildings, including historical cenotaphs and churches. How do CADW and English Heritage influence the restoration of listed buildings?

CADW in Wales and English Heritage in England play critical roles in the restoration of listed buildings by setting conservation standards, providing guidance on best practices, and sometimes offering funding for restoration projects. Their oversight ensures that any restoration work, including the use of DOFF steam cleaning, upholds the historical significance and architectural integrity of Grade I and II listed structures.

Can any contractor perform restoration work on Grade I and II listed buildings?

Restoration work on Grade I and II listed buildings requires the expertise of contractors who are familiar with the specific needs of historic properties and the guidelines set by CADW and English Heritage. This includes specialised skills in using techniques like DOFF steam cleaning to ensure the building’s fabric is preserved without damage.

What are the benefits of restoring cenotaphs and churches?

Restoring cenotaphs and churches not only preserves their historical and architectural significance but also maintains their role as community landmarks and memorials. Professional restoration, including DOFF steam cleaning, ensures these structures continue to honour heritage and history, respecting the memory of those commemorated.

How does DOFF steam cleaning differ from other cleaning methods for historic buildings?

DOFF steam cleaning stands out for its low-pressure, high-temperature steam application, which effectively removes dirt, grime, and biological matter without the use of harsh chemicals or abrasive techniques. This method is particularly suited for delicate surfaces commonly found in Grade I and II listed buildings, cenotaphs, and churches, making it a preferred choice by CADW and English Heritage.

Are there specific regulations for the restoration of listed buildings in Wales and England?

Yes, there are stringent regulations in place for the restoration of listed buildings in Wales and England, governed by CADW and English Heritage respectively. These guidelines ensure that any restoration work, including cleaning with DOFF steam, protects the building’s historical integrity while allowing for its continued use and enjoyment.

How can I ensure the best practices for the restoration of a listed building?

To ensure best practices for the restoration of a listed building, it’s essential to consult with specialists who understand the unique challenges of working with historic structures and are familiar with the conservation standards set by CADW and English Heritage. Employing approved restoration techniques, such as DOFF steam cleaning, and adhering to regulatory guidelines will protect the building’s legacy for future generations.
